While the Computex prototype was cooled using water chiller and was equipped with a 1600W power supply as well as a low power graphics card, the demo machine that was brought to the event today was fitted with ASUS ROG Ryujin AIO liquid cooler and a 1000W power supply as well as two graphics card.
Then again, this chip on this system was not overclocked. At the same time, the system was also equipped with the newly announced ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme motherboard as opposed to the GIGABYTE motherboard on the Computex’s system although the latter was still shown at the showcase area as a static display. Specs-wise, the new chip apparently able to run at up to 4.3GHz out of the box with a base clock speed of 3.1GHz. Interestingly, this chip comes unlocked which means that it can be overclocked and once again, relate back to what we’ve seen at Computex earlier this year. When it comes to pricing, Intel stated that the price for the Intel Xeon W-3175X will be revealed as we get closer to chip’s roll out into the market which is scheduled to take place sometime in December 2018. As indicated earlier, only ASUS and GIGABYTE so far have confirmed their commitment to release motherboards that support the processor although this might change in the future.
