The HONOR 9X had its local launch earlier last month and is the successor to last year’s HONOR 8X. Spec-wise, the phone houses 6GB RAM, 128GB of expandable storage (up to 512GB), and the one-year old Kirin 710F SoC instead of the Kirin 810 chipset it was initially meant to ship out with. Additionally, the HONOR 9X sports a triple-camera main array, comprising a 48MP sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP depth sensor.
More to the point, the HONOR 9X is also one of the few devices that ships out with Google Mobile Service (GMS) pre-installed on it. A crucial criterion for the phone, especially given the ongoing US ban on the brand’s parent company. At the time of writing, neither HONOR or Stoned & Co. have provided a launch date or pricing for the limited edition phone. However, word on the wire suggests that the HONOR intends on releasing the phone before the year ends.
