— InfinixIndia (@InfinixIndia) June 21, 2021 Leakster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) revealed more details of the tentatively named Infinix Zero X. Aside from the 160W wired charging, the device will reportedly also support 50W wireless charging, which is another feat in and off itself.
Infinix now joins the prestigious crew of phone manufacturers that manufacturer adapters that go above the 100W charging standards. To date, Huawei has a 135W charger, Oppo and Real me has a 125W charger, Xiaomi has a 120W charger, as do Black Shark, Red Magic, vivo, and iQOO. Some phones, like the Black Shark 4 and the Red Magic 6, use two smaller dual-cell batteries, instead of one big battery to achieve the charging speed. As of now, it’s unclear if Infinix will be adopting this method. As titillating as this news is, it should be noted that Xiaomi is also working on bringing 200W charging for later this year. It’s nail-biting to see who will be the first to max out the new USB Power Delivery Extended Power Range, which increases the maximum power delivery of USB-C from 100W to 240W. (Source: GSMArena)
