The Legion Y70 sports a flat 6.67-inch OLED display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz — which can go down to 48Hz to save power — and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, and X-axis vibration motors. The phone runs on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm and can be configured with up to a whopping 16GB of RAM as well as 512GB of storage. To handle the heat from the high-end processor, Lenovo equipped the device with a vapour chamber alongside 10 layers of heat dissepation mechanisms. The back of the Legion Y70 houses a three-camera setup that uses a 50MP main shooter with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the centre-aligned punch hole cutout contains a 16MP lens. As for connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2, but lacks an audio jack. Lenovo managed to pack a large 5,100mAh in the aluminium chassis, with support for 68W wired charging but no wireless charging. The company claims that the phone can charge from empty to 80% in just 34 minutes. Software-wise, it runs on ZUi 14 based on Android 12. The Lenovo Legion Y70 comes in three colours: black, silver, and red. The starting price of the phone is CNY2,970 (~RM1,954) for the 8GB+256GB variant, CNY3,370 (~RM2,217) for 12GB+256GB, and CNY4,270 (~RM2,809) for the 16GB + 512GB configuration. It goes on sale in China on 22 August, but the company has yet to announce the availability of the phone in international markets. (Sources: Lenovo, Fonarena)
